July 04,2014

The Force was with the Prancing Horse recently, as film director-producer George Lucas, creator of the Star Wars films, and actor Samuel L. Jackson paid a visit to Ferrari headquarters. On a brief trip to Italy, George Lucas and Samuel L. Jackson made the most of their trip to visit Ferrari. The two famous American stars of the film world, with some family members and friends, visited the production area and met Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo.

Before leaving, they spoke to Ferrari.com about what Ferrari meant to them and their thoughts on the visit. “I have always been a racing car enthusiast and interested in car racing and for me, Ferrari is the sports car par excellence,” said Lucas. “I’ve admired them since the end of the Sixties, it’s something special that’s been in my heart since I was a kid. For me, Ferrari is synonymous with excellence.” Lucas then touched on a point which links his work to that of Ferrari, namely innovation. “To innovate means knowing how to look at the world in a different way, using one’s imagination to think differently.”

“Made in Italy and speed” are the words Samuel L. Jackson used to sum up what Ferrari means to him. “Speed is something that fascinates and excites me. It’s what I like best in the films I make, especially when I can escape my pursuers.”

Before leaving, the guests also visited the Ferrari Store and the Fiorano Track.
