Chevrolet PH launches Trailblazer 2.8 LTX variant with 200hp

Chevrolet Philippines has launched a new variant of its midsize 7-seater diesel SUV. The Trailblazer 2.8L LTX 4×2 debuts with more features including 18-inch alloy wheels, premium leather seats, rear back-up camera with rear sensors. The LTX is powered by the second-generation Duramax turbodiesel, good for 200hp and 500 Nm of torque. Power is channeled through a six-speed automatic transmission.

The new wheels measure 18 inches x 8.5 wide, with a 20-inch hub offset to better fit the flared wheel arches. Other styling cues include power dome hood, dual-port grille, and blacked-out B pillars. Trailblazer retains its 800mm water wading capability.

Inside, it gets blue LED illuminated gauges, 2^nd and 3^rd row aircon vents. Theater-style seating are trimmed in beige leather. More pockets for small items are mounted on the leading edge of the front seat cushions, to better hide valuables.

Trailblazer has four-wheel discs with ABS and EBD. The rear suspension uses a independent multi-link setup, still a rarity in this class. The tall ride height allows the SUV to have 800mm of water wading capability.

It comes with a 3-year warranty plus a 2-year extended warranty for the powertrain. The Trailblazer is available in seven exterior colors: Summit White, Black Sapphire, Sizzle Red, Auburn Brown, Oceanic Blue, Royal Gray and Switchblade Silver. Trailblazer variants and prices are as follows:
