Enzo Pastor slay witness now in NBI custody

A witness in the murder case of car racing champion and motorsports proponent Ferdinand “Enzo” Pastoris now under the custody of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). The NBI has taken into custody the leader of a gun-for-hire syndicate, Alvin Nidua, who was allegedly first tapped by businessman Domingo “Sandy” de Guzman III to kill car Pastor.

A source from the NBI Death Investigation Unit also investigating the death of Pastor said Nidua was transferred to their custody from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Bicutan in exchange for his cooperation and security.

“He fears for his life and he wants to cooperate also about other cases,” the source said.

In his sworn statement submitted to the Department of Justice in August, Nidua tagged De Guzman as the one who tried to hire him to kill the car racing champion.

But Nidua said he turned down the offer because the payment was not enough.

“The offer was P200,000, but Nidua wanted P500,000 because the target was a prominent person and malaking trabaho,” the NBI source told the Inquirer.

He was informed that De Guzman was willing to pay P200,000 for killing Enzo since the victim also wanted the businessman dead after discovering De Guzman’s affair with Pastor’s wife Dahlia Guerrero. Guerrero is facing parricide charges.

Nidua was detained at the BJMP after he was arrested by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group when he and his cohorts engaged in a shootout with policemen in Taguig City, in August.
