Jaguar and Land Rover to hold first major auto exhibit in Pampanga

ALL ROADS lead to San Fernando, Pampanga, as Jaguar Cars Inc. (Jaguar Philippines) and LRPhils Motors Inc. (Land Rover Philippines) will  jointly stage an auto exhibit from Dec. 11 to 14 at the CW Home Depot. The first-ever Jaguar Land Rover Pampanga Exhibit will showcase the driving dynamics, cutting-edge technology and capabilities of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles through unique driving activities. One of these is the Land Rover Terrapod—a mobile off-road track that can demonstrate the capabilities of the Land Rover vehicles in a similar off-road terrain done in a safe and controlled environment.

The following units will be on display and made available for test drives: the Jaguar XF, Jaguar XJ, Land Rover-Range Rover Evoque, Land Rover-Range Rover Full Size, and Land Rover Defender.

“This is the first major auto exhibit of Jaguar and Land Rover in the province of Pampanga and outside of Metro Manila. We’re bringing in at least 10 Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles, the most number of units we have ever featured in an event outside of Metro Manila,” said Marc Soong, executive director of Jaguar Cars Inc. and LRPhils Motors Inc.
Supported by the Pampanga Chamber of Commerce, CW Home Depot, Bank of Florida and Azure North, this four-day event is packed with other activities which not only the Pampanga community will enjoy but also the rest of Central and Northern Luzon. Land Rover’s local brand ambassador, Erwan Heussaff, will also grace the adventurous activities on
Dec. 14. “Pampanga has a very active motoring community. Through the years, we have noticed their increasing interest on luxury vehicles. We hope to be able to build a productive relationship with the Kapampangan motoring enthusiasts through interactive events like this,” said Soong.

The Jaguar brand officially entered the Philippine automotive industry on Feb. 20, 1997, with a model lineup consisting of the XJ and XK series. The brand was enthusiastically welcomed in a five-day launch coinciding with the opening of the original showroom at Enzo Building in Makati City. This has been the home of the brand for over 13 years, until it moved to its present location at 32nd & 4th Crescent Park West, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. The year 2004 marked the official entry of Land Rover in the Philippines making back to back history with the first ever visit of His Royal Highness Prince Andrew of Great Britain, who graced the launch of the brand in its second showroom that was in Ortigas.
