Fast times with Tudor

Swiss watch maker Tudor recently introduced the Fast Rider Black Shield with its high technology ceramic feature inspired from Italian superbikes like Ducati. During its local PH launch, the Tudor Fastrider Black Shield was unveiled together with the unique Ducati Diavel Carbon motorbike. Made from a monobloc black matt ceramic material, it serves as a virtual scratchproof case for Tudor’s chronograph movement. Waterproof to a depth of 150 meters (500 feet) and fitted with direct-action pushers and a screwdown crown in PVD-treated steel, the tough 42 mm case houses a Tudor self-winding chronograph movement with a power reserve of approximately 46 hours. The matt finish in the case accentuates the watch’s dimensions and shows off the tachymetric scale engraved on the bezel.

The red and black contrast gives the watch a powerful accent despite its stealthy appearance. A red seal placed under the sapphire crystal adds to this attention to detail The Fastrider comes with another variant in matt black finish with bronze accents on the hands and hour-markers.
