Hyundai PH launches all-new Tucson SUV

Hyundai Asia Resources, Incorporated (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai cars in the Philippines, has launched the all-new Tucson compact SUV. Here’s the news from Hyundai:

During the inauguration of the Hyundai Logistics Center (HLC) in Laguna last April 28, HARI gave members of the motoring and lifestyle media and privileged guests a preview of the All-New Tucson plans to introduce to the market within the year.

Hyundai’s all-new Compact SUV (C-SUV) boasts of a bolder, more sophisticated look and a rich range of enhancements that promises to deliver a brilliant driving experience on all roads.

Bold and Athletic Exterior

“Design expresses our progressive spirit and passion, and it is transforming our brand. The All-New Tucson has a bold and athletic presence achieved through refined, flowing surfaces, bold proportions, sharp lines and most importantly, our newest generation hexagonal grille – our brand signature,” said Peter Schreyer, President and Chief Design Officer at Hyundai Motor Group.

As one of Hyundai’s most important models worldwide, the All-New Tucson is set to redefine the Compact SUV segment with an even bolder design signature. Styled with Hyundai’s newest design philosophy, “Fluidic Sculpture 2.0,” the All-New Tucson distinguishes itself well from its predecessors and the competition. It has a rugged yet classy frontal profile with the signature hexagonal radiator grille and distinctive bumper.

Slanted square-type wheel arches and a modified A-pillar create a dynamic side profile, while wedge-shaped LED lights and reflectors complete the All-New Tucson’s sleek exterior.

There’s also a variety of wheel design choices: from basic 17” to the optional 18” alloy wheel sets, all contributing to the Tucson’s athleticism and powerful presence on the road.

Stylish, Ergonomic Interiors

Despite its compact exterior, the SUV has a voluminous interior. Smart package design optimizes the vehicle’s exterior-to-interior dimension ratio to provide the best amount of space possible for passengers and luggage. This abundance of space is further accentuated by the horizontal dashboard orientation.

The driver console’s intuitive layout, non-reflective display screen and easy-to-understand cluster indicators easily communicate car status while driving.

Premium materials and detailed cabin surface texture create a refined interior atmosphere. Seats also come with powered adjustment, heating and ventilation features for maximum driver and passenger comfort. Guaranteed to never go out of style, the All-New Tucson will be available in classic Black Pure tone.

The All-New Tucson’s body frame is reinforced with Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) to improve rigidity. With an AHSS coverage rate of 51%, this SUV is the toughest in its class.

Applying anti-corrosive treatment on the core moving- and exhaust parts further increases the vehicle’s durability.

Comprehensive Safety Features

With the welfare of its customers in mind, Hyundai has equipped the All-New Tucson with cutting-edge car safety technology.

Vehicle stability management helps ensure the car stays stable when simultaneously braking and cornering, especially on low-traction terrain. When starting uphill, the Hill-start Assist Control will definitely prove useful as it automatically activates the brakes when it detects an inclined road. Meanwhile, the Seatbelt Reminder alerts the passengers when it detects that seatbelts are not in use.

State-of-the-art engineering enables the All-New Tucson to manage most driving scenarios with ease. Improved steering design offers an enhanced steering response while superior rear suspension geometry enhances ride comfort and driving stability.

The Advanced Traction Cornering Control (ATCC) system is the next generation in AWD traction system which transfers torque to the wheels that have the most grip.

A wide range of petrol, diesel, and turbocharged engines combined with choices between 6-speed M/T and A/T and the state-of-the-art 7-speed Double Clutch Transmission (DCT) guarantees to cater to different driving preferences while offering optimum driveability and fuel-efficiency. The introduction of the 2WD and 4WD options further gives the customer more control over this powerful machine.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System intelligently indicates exactly which tire is low on air. The Auto Cruise Control (ACC) enables the vehicle to maintain a constant speed set by the driver ideal for driving in highways. The new navigation system offers more comprehensive route options and updated area map for accurate directions.

With the possible inclusion of the Smart Power Tailgate feature to the top-of-the-line or limited variant, the All-New Tucson becomes an even more reliable partner for customers with a busy urban lifestyle. This add-on automatically opens the tailgate when the smart key is within range enabling easy access to the rear trunk when driver has his hands full.

There are 10 stylish exterior colors to choose from for the TL variant: Pure White, Phantom Black, Platinum Silver, Pepper Gray, Galaxy Pearl, Ruby Wine, Sepia Topaz, Milk Tea, Sedona Orange, and Ara blue, and 11 colors for the TLe variant: Polar White, Thunder Gray, Micron Gray, Platinum Silver, Phantom Black, Moon Rock, White Sand, Ultimate Red, Ruby Wine, Ash Blue, Ara Blue. Color choices may vary depending on availability.
