Ferrari fans, if you will be in the United Kingdom during the weekend of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, make sure you have your tickets handy, as Shell V-Power will be bringing in 2007 Formula 1 World Champion and current Scuderia Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen for the annual automotive event in West Sussex.

This will be the second year that Shell will be the fuel sponsor to this much loved and attended event. Kimi will be on hand to showcase the versatility and performance of Shell V-Power Nitro+ fuels.

John Surtees, himself a Formula 1 World Champion in 1964 and Kimi Raikkonen made headlines last year when they teamed up to celebrate the one of the longest partnerships in Formula 1; that of Shell’s continued Technical Partenership with Scuderia Ferrari, that brought in 12 Drivers’ Championships and 10 Constructors’ Championships. The Technical partenrship began back in 1930 with Enzo Ferrari at the helm of the company that bears his name, and this gave Ferrari, using the Ferrai 375 F1, their first ever win in Formula One at Silverstone in 1951.

Fans are encouraged to head over to the Shell stand for numerous hands on activities highlighting the company’s fearless pursuit of innovation. From the Shell Eco-marathon, the latest innovations from Shell V-Power Nitro+ fuels, a collaboration with Gordon Murray, and easy mobile payment methods for Shell customers care of Geo technology.

In a statement, Erik Bonino, Chairman of Shell UK said, “ Everyone at Shell is delighted to be back at Goodwood. This event, with its rich history, is a showpiece in the international automotive calendar. It is the perfect venue for us to demonstrate our fearless pursuit of innovation and mobility, including the ground-breaking developments we are making today as a result of our Technical Partnership with Scuderia Ferrari.”

The Goodwood Festival of Speed runs from June 25 to 28, 2015.
