Toyota PH launches all-new Innova MPV

Toyota Motor Philippines has launched the all-new Innova MPV. Executive Chief Engineer Hiroki Nakajima calls the new Innova a “Multi-Performance Vehicle.” Its concept of toughness includes not just the traditional tough chassis, but also a comfortable ride even while traveling on unpaved roads, cabin quietness, and better fuel efficiency.

The new Innova features a new grille design, subtle character lines at the sides and new color choices. Innova features aero stabilizing angles, LED headlamps with daytime running lights, 16″ alloy wheels, shark fin antenna, and rear spoiler. The interior features more premium fabrics on the top models. Available are second-row captain’s chairs, silver and wood grain patterns, HD multi-information display, capacitive touch screen audio with navigation, built-in cooler box, seat-back tables, adjustable mood lights integrated into the headliner, and smart key with push start button. The second-row seats are the one-touch fold-and-tumble type, while the third row folds up easier to the side if more cargo space is needed.

The sole diesel engine is the new 2.8-liter good for 171 ps and 360 Nm, with full torque available starting at just 1200rpm. There’s also a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 136ps and 183 Nm. Transmission choices are five-speed manual or six-speed automatic. Brakes are discs front and drums rear. Suspension is double wishbone front and solid with four-link at the rear. Tire are 205/65 R16.
