Honda PH to launch BR-V 7-seat crossover at PIMS

honda-brv-0Honda Cars Philippines will be launching the BR-V crossover at the upcoming Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS). The BR-V seeks to combine the high ground clearance of an SUV with the seven-seat cabin of an MPV. The BR-V willb e powered by a 1.5-liter iTEC engine paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or continuously variable transmission (CVT).

 

Key features of the BR-V will be its high ground clearance, roof rails, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights. For the interior, the BR-V will reportedly have class-leading knee and head room, multi-information display, and rear airconditioning.

 

Power will be provided by Honda’s 1.5-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC engine with 121ps and 145 Nm. It will be paired with a six-speed manual gearbox or a CVT.

 

Expected safety features include dual front SRS airbags, ABS-EBD brakes, vehicle stability assist and hill-start assist. Isofix anchors will make child seat installation easier.

 

The BR-V was first shown at the Indonesia International Auto Show in 2015.
