aston-db-11Last week, Aston Martin Manila, the exclusive representative for the iconic British luxury car brand officially unveiled the all-new DB11 in Manila. The DB11 is the first model to be introduced under Aston Martin’s “Second Century” plan, and is the successor to the DB9 introduced in 2003. A worthy successor as well as the future “James Bond car”, the DB11 takes a bold and fresh new take on the DB lineage with its distinctive design language and pioneering aerodynamics with a newly designed engine developed in-house that promises a dynamic sporting GT in the finest Aston Martin tradition.

Present at the launch was Patrik Nilsson, president of Aston Martin in Asia Pacific, said “We are excited to unveil DB11 in the Philippines. As the first all-new ‘DB’ model since the introduction of the DB9, we are already experiencing significant demand for DB11, demonstrating the strong affinity for Aston Martin in this market.”

Powered by a potent new 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine, it sits on a lighter and more space-efficient bonded aluminum structure, the DB11 is also the most powerful and efficient DB model in Aston Martin’s history. With 608PS of power and 700Nm of torque, it has a top speed of 322km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h time in just 3.9sec. The DB11’s innovative aerodynamics and clever management of airflow both over and through the bodywork ably cuts through the wind with unmatched stability even while preserving the DB11’s uncluttered surfaces.
