With today’s horrendous traffic, getting around town can be very exhausting.

Even if you have a driver, most SUVs and large sedans do not have much legroom and cabin space to allow enough elbow room to relax, and even do some work on the road.

There is a growing trend among busy executives and celebrities to own a large van that is customized with captain seats that can stretch out like those in business class airlines, and with folding tables to provide an instant workstation.

At the 2017 Manila International Auto Show, Foton introduced its Toano van.

There were a few other brands then offering large-sized vans with cavernous headroom and cabin space that was initially intended to serve as hotel shuttles and airport transport services, or even Sunday cars for big families.

These large-sized vans, over time, were customized into executive limousines.

The 10-seater Toano Limo has four captain seats and a 3-seater bench on the last low.

With this trend, Foton came up with an executive limousine platform derived from the standard 15-seater Toano van and fitted out with captain seats that can swivel around.

It also had more legroom plus additional storage and countertop space, as well as better mobile entertainment features, so that the passengers can get business class-like seating and personal living space similar to a mobile trailer home.

Aside from conducting meetings on the go, the executive limousine can be used for road trips that can comfortably seat its passengers with enough headroom to stretch during transit.

The Toano Limousine is an affordable alternative to expensive European large vans.

It is powered by Foton’s Blue Energy 160-hp 2.8-liter Cummins diesel engine powerplant paired to a six-speed manual transmission.

It is Euro 4 compliant, and is the tallest in its class with almost 6 feet in interior cabin height from floor to ceiling.

Passengers can get business class-like seating with foldable footrests.

With a total length of 5990 mm, 2000 mm width, and 2415 mm height, it provides more than sufficient cabin space for shuttling executives, VIPs and large families.

Inside, the blue LED pin lights around the nautically-themed interiors and flexible lighting options make the passengers feel comfortable and at ease.

Sunshade curtains on the side windows provide privacy. An automatic electronic footboard gives easier access for ingress and egress.

Convenience outlets and ample cup holders also guarantee passengers’ convenience while travelling.

The Toano Limousine has a 10-seater layout compared to the standard 15-seater Toano, making the interior even spacious. It has three seats in front (including the driver’s seat), two powered captain chairs each for both second and third row, and three adjustable bench-type seats at the back row.

An automatic electronic footboard gives easier access for ingress and egress.

Safety and practical features of the Toano Limousine include head lamp levelizers, adjustable meter gauge backlight illumination, powered sideview mirrors, remote control power windows, front and rear fog lamps, brake lamps, LED side mirror signal lights, dual front airbags, and an ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution.

To navigate this large van, a four-probe reverse sensor and camera come standard for enhanced aft awareness.

Keeping one entertained is a 23-inch LED TV complete with matching surround sound audio system and proper sound insulation to keep noise to a minimum.

The Toano Limousine comes in a variety of colors : Phantom Black, Aurora White, Metallic Silver, Amber Bronze.
