SsangYong vehicles will continue to enjoy free preventive maintenance service for three years, or 60,000 kilometers

SsangYong Berjaya Motor Philippines (SBMP), the exclusive distributor of SsangYong brand of vehicles and parts in the country, recently introduced two Tivoli versions to herald its expansion drive this year.

“We are proud to announce the updated versions of the Tivoli Premium Sport and the Tivoli XLV. These two makes us happy to be able to bring to the public such a range of stylish, yet practical vehicles that complement not only their active lifestyles but also the reality of daily living. With these two new additions, SsangYong brand of vehicles represent a wise choice among the myriad of offerings from our competitors,” SBMP managing director David Macasadia said. “

The Tivoli Premium Sport (P1.16 million) comes with a “cleaner and more unified bumper design along with a bolder fog lamp layout”; lighter silver color for its 18-inch machine-finished wheels; and brown accented leather seats that features a cooling function where in conjunction with the existing dual climate control feature, both the driver and front row passenger can have controls to adjust the seats’ warmth and coolness.

The Premium Sport also offers a new two-tone body color finish.

The updated Tivoli XLV (P1.18 million), on the other hand, features a steering wheel equipped with control buttons for easier and safer operation of infotainment functions.

The Tivoli Premium Sport measures 4.195 meters long, 1.795 meters wide and 1.59 meters tall, with a wheelbase of 2.6 meters.

Powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine that produces maximum 126 horsepower and maximum 160 Nm of torque, this Tivoli variant is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with “smart driving modes.”

The Tivoli XLV is longer as it measures 4.44 meters long, 1.798 meters wide and 1.605 meters tall. Interestingly, it has the same wheelbase as the Premium Sport at 2.6 meters.

Diesel powered

Unlike the Premium Sport version, the Tivoli XLV is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo diesel engine that churns out a maximum 113 hp and maximum 300 Nm of torque.

This engine is also paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox with smart driving modes similar to the Premium Sport.

“Both are proudly made in South Korea. Our lineup not only offers style but also substance with true usability and reliability, minus the penalties of expensive maintenance,” Macasadia said.

He adds that SsangYong’s long history of producing hardworking engines continues with the 2018 Tivoli XLV. “Its torquey 1.6-liter turbo diesel engine still retains a Euro 4 rating, which contributes to achieving superior fuel efficiency with minimal impact on the environment.”

XLV Cockpit

Rated at 22.35 kpl, this is the same e-Xdi160 diesel engine line that has given the Tivoli XLV excellent reviews in recently concluded fuel economy runs organized by Petron.

Valuing peace of mind

Recognizing customers’ needs to be prepared in extreme eventualities, the 2018 Tivoli Premium Sport and XLV variants are now equipped with a proper spare tire instead of a tire repair kit from earlier releases.

A full wheel and tire package provides peace of mind for SsangYong owners who want to go to more distant destinations.

With customer satisfaction as a top priority, all brand new SsangYong vehicles will continue to enjoy free preventive maintenance service for three years, or 60,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.

Also standard is the extended 5-year warranty coverage for all brand new models.

“The brand lives up to its promise to deliver total customer satisfaction by ensuring top-level service and providing free PMS for three years,” added Macasadia. “We have also extended our product’s warranty coverage from two to five years, and this innovation, which we undertook in 2017, has made owning a SsangYong vehicle a truly satisfying experience.”
