A new British outfit called Eterniti Motors is set to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show with its first car, a so-called Super-SUV called the Hemera. Eterniti calls itself “an independent, boutique British luxury carmaker” that specializes in customized, exclusively-appointed rides.
The Hemera Super SUV will feature twin reclining seats in its “limousine-like” rear cabin. Frivolities—er, luxuries like iPad mounts and drinks chiller will be available. Still, the company claims, the vehicle will still have driver appeal.
Eterniti’s engineering team is led by Alastair Macqueen, who developed the Jaguar XJ220 supercar. Erstwhile F1 pilot Johnny Herbert is a development driver as well as endorser.
The Hemera will reportedly be based on the Porsche Cayenne, but will be rebuilt from the ground up, including performance upgrades. Carbon-fiber body panels will replace some of the bits of the donor Porsche.
