Along with the second-generation Yaris, Toyota’s venerable Land Cruiser 200 luxury SUV also received a nose and tail-job, along with some interior upgrades. The relevant exterior additions include bi-xenon HID headlamps, LED taillamps, side mirror-mounted turn signals and 18-inch alloy wheels. The interior throws in all possible materials, from wood trim with silver accents, along with piano black and chrome plating. The airconditioning is now a four-zone climate control system.
Power is the ultimate luxury, so the Land Cruiser 200 gets a V8 diesel (!) good for 232 bhp and 615 Nm, starting at just 1800 rpm. Take that, Porsche Cayenne Turbo! The no-holds barred powerplant is mated to a six-speed automatic. Suspension is still the double-wishbone front, four-link rear, all coil-spring setup, which is capable of tackling both European autobahns and the dunes of Dubai, should you wish to.
The new Land Cruiser is priced at P4,292,000, and is available in five color options: Silver Metallic, Gray Metallic, Attitude Black and Beige Mica Metallic. A White Pearl color option is also available for P4,307,000.
