Here’s news from Foton: United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI), the exclusive distributor of Foton in the Philippines launched the Thunder pickup at the Manila International Auto Show.
Thunder pick-up carries the Cummins ISF 2.8L diesel engine with direct injection and high-pressure common rail that is turbocharged, allowing a maximum speed of more than 160km/h. The engine will output 360Nm. Thunder will be available in four-wheel drive versions. The pickup will reportedly feature carlike interior trim and ergonomically-designed cockpit. Load capacity is 1.1 tons.
Foton Thunder has a 1880mm wide body and 3105 mm wheelbase that allows for a bigger cabin. It features hydraulic power steering, 245/70R16 large size tire and double-wishbone independent suspension.
Thunder pickups have halogen headlamps, chrome-coated front grille, a single key remote key, and power windows.
Safety features include dual airbags, pre-tensioned adjustable safety belts, and high-mounted brake light.
