Shell recently launched a new promotion in collaboration with Ferrari and the Lego Group at a press briefing held at the Mind Museum in BGC, Taguig City. For every 1,500 pesos worth of single receipt or accumulated purchase of Shell V-Power Nitro+ Racing, Gasoline, or Diesel fuel, its customers get a chance to get and collect any of the 6 Lego model Ferrari cars or Lego Minifigures by paying only Php140 each. For other fuel products, customers will have to shell out Php180 after filling up with 1,500 pesos worth of single or accumulated purchase of Shell FuelSave Unleaded or Diesel fuel. The promo was formally launched last October 25th and the country is one of the first in the world to have this promo of these limited edition and collectible Ferrari models made from Lego bricks. Helix customers, on the other hand, get a chance to bring home a free Lego model or Lego Minifigures for every purchase of any participating Shell Helix Oil Change Package. During the press conference, a full size Lego brick clad version of the Ferrari’s F1 racing car, complete with faux racing slick tires and magnetic steering wheel was also on display.
Aside from the newest Lego F1 Ferrari car, Shell also put out on display and on loan to the Mind Museum the Philippine’s oldest existing car, a 1904 Richard Brasier Roadster formerly owned by veteran journalist Cito Beltran. This French-Belgian automobile has a 9 horsepower 2-cylinder engine built by George Richard and Henri Brasier. This was imported in 1904 by a trading firm named Estrella del Norte and since 2006 been under the ownership of Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation.

The collection of these six exclusive Lego models were based on some of the most iconic models in Ferrari’s history. Shell and Ferrari also recently celebrated over 60 years of passion for performance between Shell and Ferrari. It features the smallest pull-back motor ever produced by the Lego and each of the limited edition Ferrari models are capable of performing a minimum of 300 pulls, propelling a 30g vehicle a minimum of 2 meters.
Among the models include – the Ferrari F150 Italia reproduction of the race winning 2011 F1 car, with an option to change the livery to two of its F1 drivers – Felipe Massa or Fernando Alonso; the Scuderia Ferrari Truck which forms part of the Ferrari motor racing team that Lego designed to include realistic details on the lights, radiator and front grilles; the Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta passo corto (SWB) that is considered one of the great Ferrari legends with its distinctive round headlights work seamlessly in Lego bricks; the Ferrari F40 which aficionados hailed as one of the most iconic Ferrari cars of all time; the Ferrari FXX which is the prancing horse brand’s latest high-performance racing evolution after the Ferrari Enzo and the real one is said to be one of the world’s most powerful cars and lastly the Ferrari 458 Italia from the current Ferrari model range, reproduced with its signature details like the triple exhaust and famous multi-LED front lights.
