Under its German meisters, the Mini brand has branched out from the original hatchback to convertible, station wagon, all-wheel drive crossover, and, coming soon to the Philippines, a coupe and roadster. Now add a minivan to the stable. The Mini Clubvan concept, to be shown at the Geneva Motor Show, uses the Clubman body but swaps the rear seats for a large-ish cargo bay.
Continuing the tradition of the circa-1960s Morris Mini Van, Clubvan is a two-seater with a rear area devoted just to cargo. Like the Clubman, Clubvan features two side-hinged rear doors and rear-hinged Clubdoor on the right-hand side for loading and unloading. The cargo space features a completely flat floor. Six attachment loops with elastic straps allow for quick tying down of cargo. Opaque rear side windows and heavily tinted rear glass help hide valuable cargo. Meanwhile, the exterior lends itself to customized graphics for advertising a business.
