Mitsubishi celebrates Fuso Canter’s 50th year with financial packages

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Fuso Canter in the Philippines, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC) is treating its valued customers to a very affordable financing package.

Buyers of the Canter FE71 will be able to buy the truck at a low down payment of just P189,000 or a monthly amortization of P12,977 for 60 months for those who will be making a 50 percent down payment. Moreover, customers who will purchase a brand-new Canter from MMPC’s authorized dealers nationwide will be given a free 32-inch Toshiba LED television.

MMPC said the Canter light-duty trucks make a perfect partner for any business because of its world-class quality, technology, reliability, and easy maintenance.

First introduced in 1963 (the 2-ton T720), the Canter has evolved and improved in design and technology with each generation. In 1978, the fourth generation was launched and offered spacious medium-duty-truck-like cabin comfort.

The fifth to the seventh generation of the Canter were developed to meet global standard for performance. In 2006, the first Canter Eco Hybrid was launched and served as the new benchmark for truck innovations.

In 2010, the Blue Tec technology and DUONIC bannered the eighth generation and still regarded as best in its class in terms of environmental performance and fuel economy, as well as exceptional comfort and safe-driving operability.

Worldwide, the Mitsubishi Fuso is celebrating its 80th year and looks back to its very first model, a B46 bus. The first Fuso, a 99-horsepower large-sized gasoline engine bus, was produced at the Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Co. Ltd.’s Kobe Works.

Fuso became the very first of Japan’s post-war trucks and bus when, a month after the end of World War II, the production of civilian trucks and buses were permitted to aid in the recovery of several ruined cities of Japan.
