Here’s news from the Lateral Drift Championship series: Lateral Drift Championship Series 2012 Round 2, weathers a fund raising event dubbed as “Drift for a cause” this Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Clark Expo grounds for the Habagat victims.
This will be a drifting event which will go side to side with car show display to be organized by Lateral Drift (LD) Production and Creator Studio. The event beneficiaries will be our brothers and sisters situated in Pampanga who were victimized by the recently low pressure storm experienced last week.
Initially, organizers planned to hold the event at the Clark International Speedway that weekend with other organizer of drag and time trial event. But due to current situation of other participants that got flooded, the drag and time trial organizers decided to postpone the event. LD Production with the support of Clark Development Corporation moved the event to the Clark Expo Open parking grounds.
With the idea of mounting Round 2 as a fund raising event, LD Production President Charlie Cruz counted all his competitors and confirmed participation by most of them. All drivers are looking forward to enjoy the drift experience in Clark and are wholeheartedly willing to donate to Pampanga victims.
Back in year 2006, the Clark Expo Grounds was the first event venue of the Drift Series, now after 6 years, drifters will be able again to have an unforgettable experience. With this, LD Production together with it event partners assures to put on a good show to the public and to put smiles to their faces after a horrifying flooding experience. Admission to the drift event and car show display will be FREE TO ALL. To add to the donations, organizers will offer drift rides to the public for only Php 250 each. We encourage the public to bring donations of food, clothes, blankets, medicines, water, or cash will be appreciated.
