Mitsubishi Philippines reveals Mirage G4 sedan and prices

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) organized the automotive equivalent of a blockbuster movie wide open, as it held a special preview of its Mirage G4 sedan at not one but three dealers across Metro Manila. The B-segment sedan was revealed at Citimotors, Diamond Motors Quezon Avenue and Peak Motors Manila Bay.
At Peak Motors, MMPC CEO and President Hikosaburo Shibata was joined by Lourdes Teng (EVP for Finance – Peak Motors), Akihiro Yamada (VP- Executive Office), Gilbert Dee, Jr. (President – Peak Motors) and Charlotte Cheng (EVP & Comptroller – Peak Motors)
Based on a earlier story by Charles Buban, Mitsubishi is confident that the Mirage G4 sedan will attract more entry-level small car buyers not only in ASEAN but globally for three reasons: 1) design, spacious cabin and value-added equipment; 2) low weight and low fuel consumption; 3) smooth and stable acceleration and good maneuverability.
Mirage G4 will have standard dual SRS-airbags, Electronic Alarm, and multi-information display on all variants.
Longer, wider and taller than the hatchback, the Mirage G4 trumps the Lancer EX and Honda Civic in legroom, not to mention the Toyota Vios, Yaris, and Corolla; Volkswagen Jetta; and Hyundai Accent. Powered by an 85-hp, three-cylinder 1.2-liter twincam MIVEC gasoline engine mated to a five-speed manual or continuously-variable transmission, Mirage G4 will have a better power-to-weight ratio than the 1.3-liter Vios. The 930-kg curb weight helps it to achieve a quoted 22 km/liter.

A special discount of P40,000 from the SRP will be offered for pre-orders until mid-October. Pre-orders will require a P10,000 refundable deposit, and will qualify for a raffle of one unit Mirage G4 GLX manual transmission.
