Nick Heidfeld to return as F1 race driver?

September 14,2010

The ups and downs in the life of a Formula One driver: one moment you’re a race driver, the next a reserve driver for a racing team, the next a development driver for a tire company. Although that path may seemed to have spelled the doom of the career of Nick Heidfeld, it may be turning

According to reports, Nick Heidfeld is set to return to an F1 cockpit as early as the Singapore Grand Prix—in a Sauber. He will reportedly replace Pedro de la Rosa, who has not performed as well as sophomore teammate Kamui Kobayashi. Heidfeld is reported to have done two tests for Pirelli, and is now available for a race drive once again. The future is looking brighter by the day.
