Suzuki unveiled its new compact SUV concept model, the iV-4 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new car is expected to lead to a production model in 2015. The strangely-spelled name stands for ‘individuality,’ ‘vehicle,’ and four-wheel drive. The exterior features a five-slotted front grille; straight, sleek lines; and a clamshell hood. The concept includes an illuminated grille and the fog light has a built-in laser sensor on the roof. The iV-4 measures 4215mm long x 1850mm wide, on a 2500mm wheelbase. The SUV rides on 235/55 R 20 tires.
Suzuki promises that the production version will be lightweight and will boast low carbon dioxide emissions. A new four-wheel drive technology will also debut on that car. The model will join previously-developed off-raod models such as the Vitara, Jimny, and Grand Vitara.
