Hyundai Attacks, Part 1: ix20 mini MPV First Photos

September 16,2010

Hyundai has shown photos of its B-segment MPV named ix20. The model will be launched at the Paris Motor Show, with European sales set to begin later in the year. The car follows the brand’s new “fluidic sculpture” design already seen in the Genesis, Tucson, and Sonata.

The exterior features an insectoid face and a sleek side profile with sharply-cut doors. Interior control layout follows in the high-tech vein seen in current cars like the Ford Fiesta and Porsche Panamera.

This car might just crack the mini-MPV segment that cars like the Toyota Avanza have not been successful at. Honda’s competing Freed (popular in Singapore) was never tested in the Philippines, and it might just miss the boat.
