Rolls-Royce CEO to open Philippine dealership

By Jason K. Ang October 01,2013

Rolls-Royce Motor Global CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös will waft into town to inaugurate the dealership of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Manila.  This will be the first time a Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO will be visiting the Philippines. Accompanying him is a senior team from the company’s Board of Directors and regional executives: Jolyon Nash, Global Director of Sales and Marketing; Richard Carter, Global Director for Communications; Paul Harris, Asia Pacific Regional Director; and Herfried Hasenoehrl, General Manager – Emerging Markets Asia.

The showroom will reportedly feature state-of-the-art facilities as well as the first Phantom Series II Extended Wheebase motor car to be officially imported into the Philippines. The Phantom Series II is RR’s ultra-luxury flagship. The car debuted at the Beijing Auto Show in 2012. The Phantom is powered by a V12 gasoline direct-injection engine mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. 60 employees take more than 450 hours to build every Phantom, customized to the owner’s specifications. These may include any chosen paint color, premium wood veneer coming from a single log, and leather from hand-selected free-range Alpine bulls. Full LED headlamps, interactive maps, and exterior camera systems, and a starlight-mimicking headliner are some of the technological enhancements.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Manila will be represented by Willy Tee Ten, President; Mike Cua, Senior Vice President; and Ryan Watson, General Manager.

The showroom, at 5th avenue corner 26th Street, Bonfacio Global City, Taguig, is scheduled to open on October 9th.
