Lexus announces that it will display the all-new Lexus RC sports coupé production prototype and a turbocharged version of its Lexus LF-NX compact crossover SUV concept at the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show.
The show, at Tokyo Big Sight in Koto Ward, Tokyo, will run from Wednesday up to Dec. 1.
In keeping with its commitment to redefine luxury, Lexus offers a lineup of environment-friendly vehicles that combine distinctive designs and cutting-edge feature sets with an engaging drive. Through these unique attributes, Lexus delivers an experience that surprises and excites.
1.) RC sports coupé (world premiere). With a 3.5-liter gasoline powertrain or a 2.5-liter hybrid powertrain, the Lexus RC is a sports coupé aiming to provide an engaging and exhilarating Lexus driving experience. The exterior styling is distinctive, with a sporty, dynamic side profile and a low-set wide stance. The RC also showcases unique Lexus design elements, with L-shaped rear combination lamps and headlamps inspired by the Lexus LFA and LF-LC sports models. Inside, the sports cockpit, with its horizontally accented instrument panel, is crafted with a focus on the unity of car and driver, and the seats are manufactured with a new “integrated foaming” process for exceptional fit.
2.) LF-NX (first display of turbocharged version). The Lexus LF-NX, a next-generation luxury compact SUV crossover that made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show earlier this year, has been outfitted with a newly developed 2-liter turbo engine, guaranteeing superior driving and environmental performance. A lower center of gravity, emphasized by the front under spoiler, gives the turbo model a sportier look. The LF-NX cuts a lean profile, with its compact, sharp body and wide stance conveying SUV-unique power and exhilaration. Inside, the new remote touch interface with touchpad functionality provides a cutting-edge, user-friendly experience unique to Lexus.
