Guangzhou, China-As part of Audi’s strong presence in China and coinciding with the Guangzhou auto show, Audi has opened an ‘Innovation Exhibition’ in Guangzhou’s Hai Xin Sha Tourist Park Island, close to the city center.

The German brand has built a large display pavilion on the island, along with four spheres. The spheres correspond to the four rings of the Audi brand, and showcase the company’s focus on lightweight, quattro, technology, and motorsport. Visual artists have designed installations to highlight each of these aspects.

The exhibition features a show lasting over an hour that takes place on a platform by the Pearl River. The floor acts as projection screen, with additional 15-meter high screens. The audio-visual display will play against the backdrop of Guangzhou’s nighttime lights.

Audi also announced that the A3 sedan and hatchback will be produced in China for that country’s market. Audi has sold more than 400,000 cars in 2013, making it the company’s most important individual market.
