Isuzu trucks power projects of top construction firm

Heavy-duty trucks from Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC) are now powering an integral part of a reputable engineering company’s various construction and power plant projects across the Philippines.

 

IPC recently turned over 20 brand-new units of Isuzu CYZ51 10-wheeler dump trucks to First Balfour Inc., a business entity that belongs to Lopez Group of Companies. The trucks are to be used for the various hauling and disposal requirements of the top construction firm.

 

A ceremony for the brand-new trucks’ turnover was held at IPC’s world-class manufacturing plant at Laguna Technopark in Biñan. IPC president Nobuo Izumina and executive vice president Takashi Tomita handed over a key to First Balfour Inc. vice president of materials management Antonio Legaspi and head of rental department Humprey Levi Dy to symbolize the trucks’ turnover.

 

“Isuzu Philippines Corp. is honored that First Balfour Inc. has chosen Isuzu’s heavy-duty trucks for its transport requirements,” said   Izumina. “We are very pleased to become part of its various engineering and construction projects that contribute to progress in the Philippines. We also feel confident that Isuzu products will be able to meet the company’s needs.”

 

The CYZ51 heavy-duty trucks are powered by Isuzu’s proven 6WF1-TC engine, which boasts  an intercooled turbocharger and common rail direct injection fuel system. Rated to make 256 HP, the Euro III-emission-compliant engine allows the truck to carry 10 cubic meters of load.

 

“Isuzu has always delivered in terms of reliability and performance,” Legaspi said. “Our recent purchase proves once again that we trust Isuzu products, and that these will meet the mobility requirements of our diverse projects.”

 

First Balfour Inc.’s latest acquisition of Isuzu models is not its first. Since 2003 the company had purchased various Crosswind XL and XT AUVs, D-MAX pickups, NHR-PV light-duty trucks, and NQR buses.
