Here’s another set of funny, puzzling, and stirring automobile ads from the 2014 Superbowl:
Maserati’s “Strike” ad offers some soul-stirring images that hopefully will be associated with its Ghibli sedan. The narration by child actor Quvenzhané Wallis takes potshots at the competition “lumbering through the school yards. Limping through alleys.”

Chrysler continues its “America’s Import” theme, previously “imported from Detroit”, for the 200 sedan. Following appearances by Clint Eastwood and Eminem, this time it’s Bob Dylan who provided the song and narrates the commercial. The message? “Let Germany brew your beer, Let Switzerland make your watch,
Let Asia assemble your phone. We…will build…your car.” Funny, coming from what is now an Italian company.

According to one study, traffic for searches on Kelley Blue Book’s site, a car research website, the Ghibli rose by 4250 percent, beating other brands. According to this measure, the Maserati ad was the most successful of the Superbowl commercials this year.
