Peugeot has revealed its new A-segment city car, the 108. The 108 clocks in at a mere 3470mm long and 1620mm wide, with a 9.6-meter turning circle, making it highly maneuverable. The design looks cheerful, with a distinctive face. LED running lights are inserted under the fog lamp surrounds and in the middle of the grille. An option is the fabric roof 108 Top!, going a step further than the glass-roofed 3008.
Interior will feature a 7-inch touch screen interface, which can mirror the display on one’s smartphone. Luggage space is 196 liters with a low-sill floor. Powering 108 is a 1.0-liter with 68hp or 1.2-liter gasoline engine with 82hp. With its low weight of 840kg, that should be enough to have it zipping around town. This might just be the spiritual successor to the surprisingly fun-to-drive Toyota Echo hatchback.
