Motor Image Pilipinas Inc. (Mipi), the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in the Philippines, has recently brought the Subaru WRX Concept Car to the country for a special mall tour on selected weekends this coming March. For those who cannot wait, the car is on display at the Subaru Greenhills showroom, since Valentine’s Day last week up until it is brought around three selected malls for a weekend display. This concept car has been displayed in several major auto shows worldwide as a prelude to the road-going, all-new Subaru WRX and the Subaru WRX STI that are expected to be introduced very soon in this market.
From March 7 to 9, the concept car will be displayed in Greenbelt 5’s Fashion Walk area, then at the Rockwell Power Plant Mall’s North Court area from March 14 to 16. Its last tour of duty would be on March 21 to 23 at the Activity Pod 4 of Bonifacio High Street. In conjunction with the slated mall tours, Motor Image has created a photo contest entitled Rally Heritage Photo Contest on its “I Love Subaru” Facebook page. Participants are invited to take a photo of the Subaru WRX Concept Car during the mall tour and upload the image to the Facebook page’s wall. To join the contest, participants should first “like” the “I Love Subaru” Facebook page. Then they should post the pictures publicly with the hashtags #ILoveSubaru, #WRXConcept, #RallyHeritage for Mipi to be able to search for them in the “I Love Subaru” Facebook page.
The five best entries from each of the mall displays will be chosen; and the winning entries will be given exclusive Subaru merchandise and two tickets per entry to the 2014 Manila International Auto Show, and get a ride of his or her life in the Russ Swift Stunt Show to be held once again at the World Trade Center this coming April 3 to 6. International precision driver and Guinness World record-holder Russ Swift has been a regular celebrity performer in major auto shows all over the globe and has been using Subaru in all countries where Motor Image is representing the brand, from its regional office and main market in Singapore to Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
Also, according to Motor Image, Subaru fans can expect to see the all-new Subaru WRX and Subaru WRX STI, which will debut in the longest-running and biggest local auto show this coming April.
