Toyota is bullish on the A-segment hatchback market. Just as it is launching the Wigo in the Philippines, Toyota Europe has teased the all-new Aygo via a teaser video. The new design theme is dubbed “J-Playful.” Aygo Chief Engineer David Terai says, ” What I wanted to make was a car that stands out in a Japanese way, in order to capture the imagination of customers all-around Europe. So I let myself be inspired by today’s Japanese youth-culture.” The video includes some shots of a dancing robot, so hopefully some mecha elements will be integrated into the new car. The Aygo will take center stage at the Toyota stand at the Geneva auto show.
