By Jason K. Ang May 09,2014

The Beijing International Auto Show was full of vehicles that are designed specifically for the Chinese market. Honda was one of the carmakers that showed vehicles expressly developed for what is now the world’s biggest car market.

Honda calls its Concept B an “advanced and cool-looking” car “realized in a compact hatchback style that is popular among young generations in China.” Honda plans to bring the Concept B to production form within two years. While no plans for introduction to other markets were announced, the China market may soon become the primary test bed for Honda, with other markets to get these models as well. The Concept B was presented as a hybrid model.

Dongfeng Honda also displayed a Spirior concept sedan. Dongfeng Honda says that the current Spirior, introduced in 2009, ” has been providing the joy of driving with its advanced technologies and has been well received primarily by younger customers in urban areas who pursue individuality.” The new Spirior based on the concept will be launched in China by the end of this year.
