Malaysia’s legendary Sepang International F1 Circuit will come alive between July and August 2014 with the roar and excitement as more than 500 Michelin customers, journalists and social media commentators from 16 countries enjoy the rare opportunity to take part in the Michelin Pilot Sport Experience.
The 22 days of the Michelin Pilot Sport Experience will give participants, including select motorists from the Philippines, the exhilaration and adrenaline rush of piloting some of the most competitive racing cars in the motorsports world.
Heart-pumping drives
All of the activities are done under the watchful eye of professional instructors and renowned racecar drivers with years of experience in a safe and competitive driving environment. Participants’ once-in-lifetime experience will include heart-pumping and spine-tingling drives in high-performance race cars from Formula 4, Renault Clio Cup, Lamborghini Super Trofeo and the legendary Formula Le Mans.
For the first time this year, the event will include the participation from the winners of Michelin’s “The Right 2 Race” online game. The winners from six countries, and from over 3,647 entrants, have won an invitation to this event by setting the fastest lap time using their chosen racing lines and braking points around the digital version of Sepang International F1 Circuit.
Also to be unveiled is the new Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tire, the latest generation of road-legal track tires designed for ultra-high-performance cars. The performance levels that this tire offers are clearly demonstrated by the fact that it is the sole original equipment fitment on recent groundbreaking cars such as the Ferrari 458 Speciale, the Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series and the Porsche 918 Spyder.

These exceptional performance levels are translated to Michelin successes and wins in many world-class races such as the World Endurance Championship, including the Le Mans 24 hours, the World Rally Championship and the Dakar Rally.
