Mingling with Kawasaki Singles

July 21,2014

MANILA, Philippines – Philippine motorbike enthusiasts were treated to a special launch of the latest addition to Kawasaki’s leisure bike line-up. Entitled “Mingle with Singles,” the event served as the chance for the market to meet and experience in-person the single cylinder Ninja 250SL and Z250SL. The introduction of the two new single cylinder, 4-stroke, 250cc models was held on July 12, 2014, at Megatent in Libis, Quezon City.

Get Ready to Mingle

The whole-day event kicked off with a morning test-ride session of several other Kawasaki bike offerings already in the market. Guests were able to experience a range of Kawasaki bike models for themselves.

Additionally, and much to the satisfaction of quite a number of biker attendees, the thoughtful Kawasaki team implemented a Free Service Campaign that offered free oil change and tune up for Kawasaki and even non-Kawasaki motorcycles until noon.

Shortly after noon, the actual launch proper started. An opening number led up to the entrance of event host, Brazilian model and actress Daiana Menezes. Bike enthusiasts and the motoring press were then invited to a toast by Kawasaki Motors Philippines President, Jin Inoue.

Finally, after much excitement, the new single cylinder Ninja 250SL and Z250SL were officially revealed. Guests were treated to a firsthand experience and test-rides (complete with fun tasks along the test-track) of the two new fast and sexy single cylinder models from Kawasaki. Special prizes were given away to lucky attendees all throughout the day.

Quick-Launch Acceleration, Lightweight Handling and Good Looks

The Ninja 250SL and the Z250SL share Kawasaki’s newest 250cc 4-stroke engine in single cylinder configuration. High torque performance comes naturally to the single cylinder motorcycle engine architecture of the Ninja and the Z. With the reduced weight of the engine, along with compact and lightweight design of the rest of the bike, both bikes’ riding maneuverability is further enhanced.

Impressive specs are fitted to both the Ninja and the Z. They both boast of a trellis frame composed of high-tensile steel main tubes that ensure optimum rigidity balance, reduced weight, and light and nimble handling. They sport 10-spoke wheels for aggressive style. Petal disc brakes provide stopping ample power. A Uni-Track suspension gives them sure-footed rides. Their back-lit, digital, multifunction display provides information at-a-glance. And patented heat management technology keeps their riders cool and comfortable.

The two aggressively styled, smartly equipped, highly-capable rides differ in their outward styling. The Ninja 250SL sports an aerodynamic, supersport style full-fairing while the naked Z250SL showcases its high rigidity, lightweight trellis frame.  While both look aggressively appealing and state-of-the-art, the two possess very distinct attitudes. The Ninja looks like a track star while the Z is a ruggedly high-tech street bike.

The new Ninja 250SL and Z250SL can be viewed and is available at Kawasaki Krib in Libis, Cyclemar, Gentrade, GM Cycle, KServico, Metro Motorbikes, Motorcentral, Motortrade, Premiumbikes, RKP, Ropali and Wheeltek, Emcor, Bacolod Eversure, Gud Mototrading, and Des Marketing Dealers nationwide.
