Eight Piaggio APÉ patrol units were recently turned over to Manila Mayor Joseph “Erap” Estrada and Vice Mayor Isko Moreno at the Manila City Hall grounds.
The turnover ceremony was graced by Autohub Group and Piaggio APÉ Philippines (Autoitalia) president Willy Tee Ten and general manager Mark F. Gabriel.
The Piaggio APÉ Patrol units will be distributed to local barangays (villages) in Manila as law enforcement and patrol units.
The Piaggio APÉ Patrol boasts a 36-kilometer-per-liter mileage, and a four-stroke, 435-cc engine that is compliant to the government initiative to reduce air pollution in the Metro.
The Piaggio APÉ Patrol is equipped with a catalytic converter that significantly reduces carbon dioxide emissions, making it greener than the conventional vehicles of its type.
The APÉ also has a wide variety of other diesel variants—drive-away chassis, pickup, closed van and passenger—that are suitable for different types of applications for transport, mobile businesses or cargo.
