Enzo Pastor murder suspect arrested, love triangle aspect eyed—reports
Quezon City police have arrested a suspect in the shooting and killing of race car driver and motorsports proponent Ferdinand ‘Enzo’ Pastor, according to news reports. The suspect, an active officer of the Pasay City police, is PO2 Edgar Angel. He has undergone interrogation by the police and has reportedly pointed to the mastermind of the killings. The man hired Angel to murder Pastor for P100,000 (about $2220). Reports say that the purported mastermind, a businessman, had a relationship with Pastor’s wife, and that the police are looking into this as a possible motive for the killing.
Pastor was shot on the evening of June 12, 2014 in Quezon City, as he was riding in truck on his way to the Clark International Speedway. A motorcycle-riding gunman shot Pastor and his assistant Paolo Salazar. Pastor was killed and Salazar injured.
