NBI names Enzo Pastor’s wife as suspect in murder

August 27,2014

After police took into custody Pasay policeman PO2 Edgar Angel as the suspected gunman in the Ferdinand ‘Enzo’ Pastor murder, Justice Secretary Leila De Lima on Wednesday confirmed that like the police, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is pursuing “love triangle” as the possible motive. Pastor, a race car driver and motorsports proponent, was shot in June as he and an assistant were driving to the Clark International Speedway.

Listed as suspects by the NBI were Angel, businessman Domingo “Sandy” de Guzman III, both under police custody, and Pastor’s wife, Dahlia Guerrero-Pastor. She is listed as “at large.”

However, De Lima said the NBI, an attached agency of the Department of Justice (DOJ), cannot file a criminal complaint just yet. She said the NBI will coordinate with police for information-sharing.

The family of Enzo Pastor sought the NBI’s help immediately after the 28-year-old racer was killed by motorcycle-riding men in Quezon City last June.
