Following the arrest of two suspects in the murder case of race car driver and motorsports proponent Ferdinand ‘Enzo’ Pastor, the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday filed a parricide complaint against the racing champion’s widow, over her alleged participation in the killing of her husband.
Aside from Dalia Pastor, businessman Domingo “Sandy” De Guzman III and Police Officer 2 Edgar Angel of the Pasay Police are facing murder charges for allegedly plotting to kill Pastor.
De Guzman also underwent a separate inquest proceeding before the Department of Justice for illegal possession of firearms which has been submitted for resolution.
De Guzman and Angel appeared before State Prosecutor Susan Villanueva while Dalia Pastor is at large.
Pastor’s parents were also present and accompanied by their lawyer Salvador Panelo.
Tomas Pastor said they were still grieving but added that they were satisfied with the way the authorities handled the case.
“The big development in the case happened after they caught the gun man,” he said.
On the other hand, Panelo said the family was still in shock that Dalia was implicated.
“We will defer to the expertise and knowledge of the investigators and they will abide whatever findings they will have,” Panelo said.
Panelo, however, refused to give further details about the case, saying it is already with the prosecutor.
