Isuzu is identifying the market for their new Isuzu D-Max X-Series as one that’s hip, young and active, and mostly members of the “Generation Y,” or so called “Millennials”.   Designed for the urban jungle landscape, the new Isuzu D-Max X-Series is as much a challenge to face as any off-roading outdoor vehicle is. Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) launched the new D-Max X-Series last August 20th at the Metrowalk Tent in Pasig City. Isuzu Philippines says that the new X-Series variant is available for the Isuzu D-MAX LS 4×2 with both manual and automatic transmission and is loaded with attractive features that definitely sets it apart from any pickup model presently on offer in the Philippine market.

“Capability for capability, feature for feature, the Isuzu D-MAX is unmatched, and carries proven advantages in terms durability, reliability and fuel efficiency,” said IPC President Nobuo Izumina. “But we at Isuzu believe in continuously improving our products so that these remain relevant to our customers. That is why the new Isuzu D-MAX X-Series reflects the on-the-go, youthful attitude of the Millennial generation, whose unique fast-paced lifestyle involve constant updating and linking via social media.”
The all-new Isuzu D-Max pickup uses breathable black fabric seats highlighted by a bold red contrasting trim. At the console of the driver seat, Isuzu applies a matching red Isuzu badge on the steering wheel, which is designed to have control buttons that lets one surf the various functions of the premium 2-DIN audio system that integrates CD/MP3/Micro USB/Aux Input Jack/Tuner with Bluetooth connectivity.
On the engine bay, the new Isuzu D-MAX X-Series is powered by a Euro 2 4JJ1-TC 3.0-liter diesel engine. With a Common Rail Direct Injection (CRDi) system and a turbocharger that has an intercooler, it makes 146Ps @ 3,800rpm and 294Nm @ 1,400rpm to 3,400rpm.  So asides from providing optimum engine power, it is also very fuel-efficient.
The all-new Isuzu matched the power plant to either a 5-speed manual transmission or the advanced 5-speed automatic transmission that has a sequential shift function, which makes manual gear-shifting possible in an automatic transmission. Underneath the new Isuzu D-MAX X-Series is a superior suspension system composed of independent double wishbone with coil springs in front and semi-elliptical over-slung leaf springs in the rear. The combination allows the pickup to carry a heavy payload while at the same time having improved driving performance and vehicle stability, making it the ideal vehicle for the city-dwelling members of Generation Y who routinely head out of town on the weekends for their active recreational pursuits.
Further ensuring that the new Isuzu D-MAX X-Series appeals to the young and stylish are its signature color schemes: Silky Pearl White and Venetian Red Mica, both with decal stripes. The new Isuzu D-MAX X-Series LS 4×2 M/T is priced at P1,234,000 and theLS 4×2 A/T at P1,286,000 (add P10,000 for the Silky Pearl White color).
