Toyota brand Scion has unveiled its lineup for the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show which opens in Las Vegas on November 4. A highlight of its presentation is the surprisingly good-looking conversion of the Scion FR-S (aka Toyota 86) into a targa top version, which carries strong hints of the classic Porsche 911 Targa, also back in an all-new release this year.
The Scion FR-S T1 features a two-tone body, with black targa top and custom color Azzuro California Blue lower body. The sports car features a new wide body done in all metal, with an integrated rear spoiler and louvered backlight. The lowered car sits on custom 19-inch forged wheels. Modifications include:
- High-mounted custom center exhaust
- GReddy street turbo kit
- KW coil-over suspension
- Wilwood Big Brake Kit with custom nickel-plated finish
- OEM Audio+ System 400 complemented by a Pioneer AVIC-8000NEX head unit
The targa was built by Jeremy Lookofsky at Cartel Customs. “It’s an honor being involved with Scion for the seventh consecutive year bringing design concepts to reality and setting the bar for the SEMA Show,” Lookofsky said.
