COTABATO CITY, Philippines—Authorities stumbled upon what they said could be a yard for stolen motorcycles in their hunt for suspects in murder and car theft cases in a village of a town in Sultan Kudarat province, according to police.
Insp. Christina Garcia, head of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Sultan Kudarat, said policemen were to arrest two suspects in the killing of SPO4 Ruben Sabado but found instead at least 18 motorcycles in a compound in Barangay Ilian in Esperanza town, Sultan Kudarat.
The motorcycles were found to have been “chopped” or cannibalized for their parts.
The policemen failed to find the suspects, however. Edwin O. Fernandez, Inquirer Mindanao
