The Consumer Electronics Show is rapidly becoming an auto show in its own right, with carmakers eager to show off their wares, barely days after the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Chevrolet Global Chief Marketing Officer Tim Mahoney gave a sneak peek at the 2016 Chevrolet Volt Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, showing off its front end to attendees. Those expecting styling along the lines of the futuristic-looking hydrogen-fueled cars from Toyota and Honda will be disappointed, as the new Volt still looks quite conventional.
The next-generation extended range electric vehicle will be fully unveiled on January 12 at NAIAS. The new Volt will improve on the performance of the previous model, which could go up to 60 km in pure electric mode, and up to 608 km with the range-extending gasoline engine.
