The number one automotive company in the country brings Waku-Doki further by bringing the second race of this season’s Toyota Vios Cup to the Queen City of the South, Cebu City. Coming in as the first motorsports festival in the Visayas region, gearheads and car fans in the said area can now witness the waku-doki experience first-hand. Slated on Saturday to Sunday, May 16 – 17, local motorsports will be driven into newer heights with 4 incoming Cebu-based racers now making a total of 44 drivers in the said racing event.
In a statement, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) President Michinobu Sugata exclaimed “I am thrilled to announce that we are now bringing the Vios Cup to Cebu City. This waku-doki experience was staged in Manila last year and now to the beautiful city of Cebu, taking this local motorsports program another step further. This would not be possible if not for the support of the Government of Cebu City under the leadership of Mayor Michael Rama. I am delighted to know that Mayor Rama and myself share the same interest towards local motorsports. In partnership with the South Road Property (SRP) Administration, Cebu City Traffic Operations Management (CITOM), DPWH Cebu, and Toyota Cebu-Mandaue South…the dream of bringing the Vios Cup to Cebu City has finally become a reality.”
This coming May bring your family and friends as the second exciting race of the Vios Cup this year will be driven into even newer heights as we push the pedal to the metal. Celebrity drivers Derek Ramsay, Jasmine Curtis, Kylie Padilla, Joyce Pring, DJ Sam YG, Jinno Rufino and Phoemela Baranda will be competing with thirty seven (37) other registered drivers during this race weekend.
Motorsports fans in the Visayas Region will now have the chance to experience a unique weekend as the biggest motorsports festival will unfold in Cebu City. Qualifying Time Trials will be held on Saturday while Race day and other fun filled activities happening on Sunday. Gates open at 10:00 AM. The event is open to the public, and admission is free.
The 2015 Vios Cup Race 2 is in partnership with Bridgestone and Rota, supported by Motul, TRD, Brembo, Super Shuttle Roro, Denso, AVT, OMP and Tuason Racing.
