The Philippines’ largest motorsport event, the Vios Cup, heads to Cebu this weekend. The race takes place on the 2.2-kilometer Toyota SRP Cebu Street Circuit at the South Road Properties on May 16 to 17. Intense wheel-to-wheel racing is expected on the tight, twisty circuit. Race director JP Tuason describes it as a medium- to high-speed track featuring several chicanes.
The race expects to see a record number of participants at 46 drivers. Team Toyota Cebu will be fielding five drivers. Toyota is expecting a big crowd to watch the landmark event. Cebu City Traffic Operations has mapped out alternative routes during the weekend.

The top prize for the Vios Cup Season 2 is P1.5 million. Toyota San Fernando’s top gun Pauland Dumlao remains the top favorite as he secured solo leadership with 35 points following his runner-up feat in Race 1 and his big triumph in Race 2 despite the added 25-kilogram weight.
