Honda Cars Philippines has taken the wraps off the all-new HR-V subcompact crossover. Built on the Jazz platform, the HR-V goes against the likes of the Ford Ecosport, Kia Soul, and even the Subaru XV and Mazda CX-5.
The Honda HR-V measures 4924mm long x 1772mm wide. Its long 2610mm wheelbase promises more room for five passengers and cargo. The HR-V has Honda’s ULT rear seat which folds to accommodate different types of cargo in Utility, Long or Tall mode.
Under the HR-V’s hood is the 1.8-liter SOHC i-VTEC engine with 141 ps and 172 Nm. Transmission is via a CVT to the front wheels. Wheels are 17-inch alloys.
Safety features include ABS, EBD, stability assist, hill start assist, auto brake hold, and available six airbags for the top variant. That top EL trim level also gets LED headlamps and daytime running lights.
