Honda may have just launched the HR-V subcompact crossover, but they getting ready to produce yet another mini-SUV. The BR-V, standing for Bold Runabout Vehicle, will reportedly seat seven. The car will be launched first in Indonesia, with other Asean markets likely to follow.

Here’s the news from Honda: P.T. Honda Prospect Motor released the first official sketches of the all-new Honda BR-V Prototype which will make its world premiere at the upcoming Gaikindo Indonesian International Auto Show 2015, scheduled for August 20-30, 2015, in Tangerang, Indonesia.

The new BR-V was jointly developed for the Asian market by Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co., Ltd., in Thailand, and P.T. Honda R&D Indonesia. This model will be introduced to the Indonesian market as Honda’s new generation crossover utility vehicle to address various customer needs.

honda-br-v-2The new BR-V features tough and solid exterior design with high ground clearance, big and stylish alloy wheels and sleek roof rails. The model also offers a comfortable and spacious cabin with seven seats in a 3-row configuration. The new BR-V is powered by a 1.5L gasoline engine which provides sporty performance and great fuel efficiency together with two advanced transmissions available. High standard safety features will be the base of the model as it has always been for every Honda products.

“The All-new Honda BR-V has been developed for the needs of customers in Indonesia,” said Mr. Tomoki Uchida, President Director of P.T. Honda Prospect Motor. “We are confident that the Honda BR-V will be loved by Indonesian customers for its appealing design and value”.

P.T. Honda Prospect Motor will open booking for the all-new Honda BR-V at the Gaikindo Indonesian International Auto Show 2015.
