Pilipinas Hino Inc. (PHI), the exclusive distributor of Hino trucks and buses in the Philippines, recently changed its corporate name to Hino Motors Philippines Corp. (HMP).
Hino Motors Ltd. and Marubeni Corp. forged a new joint venture agreement with their Filipino partners, increasing their equity to 70 percent and 20 percent, respectively.
This is a clear manifestation of all the investing partners’ renewed and firm confidence in the growing economy of the country and the potential of the commercial vehicle market.
HMP is mainly engaged in the assembly and distribution of quality Hino trucks and buses, distribution of genuine Hino spare parts, the supply of other automotive-related products, and doing quality full maintenance and aftersales.
All Hino trucks and buses models are developed to meet the demands of owners and drivers who insist upon perfection in transport. Safety, economy, durability, reliability, versatility and ecology. All these and more can be expected from Hino trucks and buses.
Through quality products and services and a highly competent and dedicated workforce, the company has consistently secured its place as among the country’s top corporations.
HMP is set to introduce new products, innovative services and its expanded “total support” activities. It shall continue to improve its direct marketing operations by increasing its current 15 full-line dealers strategically scattered all over the country.
It intends to strengthen its unique “one-stop shop” operations with its own body manufacturing and maintenance shop in its facility in Canlubang, Calamba, Laguna.
PHI was incorporated in March 1975 and had just celebrated its “Stronger @ 40” milestone.
Forty years since its first assembled truck hit the road, the Hino brand has remained strong—and will become truly stronger as it is now under a more dynamic and globally-attuned company, Hino Motors Philippines Corp.
