NOW ON its fifth year, Foton’s Big Show is coming up with the biggest ever exclusive showcase of its vehicle lineup ranging from passenger vehicles, light- and heavy-duty trucks, and heavy machinery.
In 2010, the Big Show started as a “Palitan fest” where buyers can trade in their old vehicles at very good prices.
The following year, it was renamed the Foton Big Show and became a venue to launch Foton’s line of heavy-duty trucks and machinery.
The one-make event since then has been held annually as Foton continued to expand its market presence in the country as the leading Chinese brand in the local automotive industry.
Aside from showcasing its vehicle lineup, the show also highlights its expanded services to include leasing and financing packages through partner banks, aftersales services, aftermarket products and allied services.
Grown in size
Held every October, the show has grown in size over the years. From half of PICC’s Forum tent pavilion in 2011, the show has now moved to a much bigger venue, taking up as much as 3,000 square meters in Hall A of the World Trade Center, plus the expansive 4,000-sqm front parking lawn for its heavy machinery exhibition.
Its passenger vehicle lineup now includes the Cummins-powered Thunder pickup, the View Traveller, and the new View TransVan.
Foton Philippines will also launch its first SUV model called the Toplander, which comes in 4×4 and 4×2 variants and also powered by Cummins engines.
The 2.8-liter Cummins engine has proven to be a reliable engine in its Thunder pickup series, and Foton expects the Toplander to do well in the midsize SUV category because of its aggressive pricing.
The show will also display the Tornado light-duty truck series in various custom body designs, suited to fit most businesses. The Foton ETX and GTL heavy-duty trucks series will also be displayed.
The heavy machinery will be displayed outside the front parking lawn of the World Trade Center, and will feature earth-moving equipment like payloaders and backhoes, among other construction equipment.
The show starts on Oct. 2-4, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the World Trade Center, Pasay City. Entrance is free.
Visitors can take advantage of the show’s exclusive deals and big discounts, flexible financing schemes from Foton’s accredited banks, as well as the availability of Foton vehicles during the event for test drives.
