MMDA’s Tolentino to The Playgirls: I actually asked them to wear skirts

October 01,2015

Francis-Tolentino-e1443689877691-2STA. CRUZ, Laguna— An all-female trio provided an unexpected, sexy, twist to the visit of ruling Liberal Party (LP) standard-bearer Mar Roxas here on Thursday.

A day after his presidential bid was officially endorsed by the LP, Roxas led the mass oath-taking of about 80 local politicians from Laguna’s 4th congressional district who joined the administration party.

The gathering was held on the occasion of the 58th birthday of Laguna 4th District Rep. Benjie Agarao. The event was held at his sprawling residence in Barangay Patimbao in Sta. Cruz town.

The otherwise uneventful gathering was spiced up by the sexy dance numbers of the all-female entertainment group The Playgirls, who gyrated and did the “twerk” in front of a cheerful crowd that included children and college students.

The emcee of the event said The Playgirls–who wore bootleg panties and crop tops–was a “surprise gift” from Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chair Francis Tolentino, who arrived at the gathering shortly before Roxas delivered his speech.

Tolentino just smiled when reporters asked him why he brought the skimpy-clad entertainers to the gathering. He was also seen watching the girls before he left.

“I actually asked them to wear skirts,” he said.

After doing a sexy dance number on stage to the tune of the popular song by rapper Brandon Beal, “Twerk It Like Miley,” the girls asked three male participants from the audience to join them in a parlor game filled with sexual innuendos.

At one point, one of the girls asked a male participant, who was already in his 50s, to lie down. She then went on top of him and gyrated as the crowd burst into a boisterous laughter.

Roxas was apparently unaware of The Playgirls’ presence as he was having lunch when they started their 30-minute show.

Speaking with reporters later, Agarao claimed Tolentino did not bring the girls to his birthday party.

“Somebody might be trying to destroy Tolentino’s name,” the lawmaker said. “The girls were not a gift from him.”

Agarao also claimed that he did not know that the girls were performing sexy dance numbers.

But the INQUIRER saw him briefly watching the show along with his son, Laguna board member Benjo Agarao, after sending off Roxas and his companions. –Marlon Ramos, TVJ
