Chevrolet launches Trax SUV

In a market where SUVs, crossovers, and pick-up trucks can be a necessity more than a luxury, Chevrolet Philippines has now brought over to our shores their offering in the subcompact class: the all new city smart SUV, the Chevrolet Trax.

Launched recently at the Pool Palace – BGC, the all-new Chevy Trax features a 1.4L turbocharged engine pumping 140 hp and 148lb.-ft. Torque. It’s matched to a six-speed automatic transmission with a manual shift mode. This workhorse reportedly offers fantastic fuel mileage and with more than sufficient power for one’s daily needs. Weekend warriors will benefit from the 60/40 rear-seat split-fold feature. The ample space can take in most of your gear, or even the shopping bags of your significant other on a payday weekend sale. Electric power steering takes the pain out of maneuvering in and out of tight spots. Traction control system, Electronic Stability Control, Cornering Brake Control, and panic brake assist, are just a few of the advanced safety features the Trax can lay claim to.

The Chevy Trax seats five adults comfortably, but should your need require it, the Trax will accommodate an 8 seat configuration. Its well-appointed cabin has all the bells and whistles one would expect from a proper SUV. 15 storage compartments will keep any and all your items secure. The Trax also features a tire pressure monitoring system that can help make sure your tires are properly inflated during your long drives. A rear facing camera will assist drivers in parking or in backing out. Audiophiles will appreciate its six-speaker surround sound set-up. That will keep you entertained and calm on your daily drive.

The base Trax LS goes for P998,888 while the higher LT variant sells for P1,218,888.
